lookup/report back a value and column header

    Hello,
Sorry if this has already been asked/answered.

I'm trying to look across 12 columns of data (one for each month of year) and report the value in one of those columns, as well as the column header of the particular column with the value in it. Only one of the 12 columns will have a value in it, by the way. Basic sales analysis - you sold X items in month Y. X and Y are reported off to the right of the 12 columns.

Thanks in advance for any advice/suggestions!

Re: lookup/report back a value and column header

    =Lookup(9.99999e+307,A2:L2)

will report last (only) number in A2:L2

    =Index(A1:L1,Match(9.9999e+307,A2:L2))

will report header in A1:L1 where the last (only) entry in A2:L2 occurs.
Where there is a will there are many ways.
