Excel 2007 : Border Formatting not printing

I have changed a border to a vertical red line (finest dot). When in the print preview it shows correctly but when printed both to an inkjet or to a pdf it prints as a thicker black line. The color in other areas of the document print correctly.

Any Ideas?

One sol'n is to remove the right border and insert a line from the Shapes menu.
