    Lightbulb Concatenate Function

    Hi,

Please help me to get the desired result using Concatenate Function.

I have a huge data in three columns (A, B, & C) and i want to concatenate these three column in one cell, like this - A11_414454_5587_01_01082011

and if the Date in Col C is of 2011 thn the first string should be A11, and for 2010 A10, 2009 A09

    414454 5587 01082011
    414908 5587 01062010
    417301 5587 01082009

Thnx and all ur help will be much appreciated

    Re: Concatenate Function

Where does the _01_ stem from ?

Perhaps, assuming all three values are stored as Text:

    D1:
    =IF(COUNTA(A1:C1)<3,"","A"&RIGHT(C1,2)&"_"&A1&"_"&B1&"_"&LEFT(C1,2)&"_"&C1)
    copied down
If in doubt - post a sample file and outline expected results.
