    Concatenate always returns "0"

    Hi,

I'm trying to concatenate 4 text strings, and whether I use the concatenate formula or the "&" symbol, it always returns as zero. Any ideas why? I have tried formatting both the source and destination cells as 'text' and as 'general' and yet I get the same result.

    A few points:
    - formulas are on automatic
    - the 4 text strings all have formulae in them (they're if statements)
    - i have moved between excel 2003 and 2007 in making this workbook, but the only formulae in use are compatible with both

Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    jonnya
