How to fit spreadsheets to window on open

Whenever opening a spreadsheet that was saved by someone else, it always seems to retain the position of the last screen in which it was saved. I'd like to somehow make every spreadsheet that I open fit to window.

Does anyone know how to achieve this? I've searched and not found an answer.

Go to start > right click excel > properties > shortcut > run > select maximized from the drop down menu > hit apply.

Now all of your excel files should be maximized when you open it.

Thank you, but this is not quite what I meant. I don't need Excel to start maximized to my explorer screen. I need each spreadsheet to open maximized to the Excel window, even if Excel is not itself maximized.
