    Highlighting cell when DOB is after specific date

    i have a cell that is date of birth (DOB) format mm/dd/yyyy displays as dd-mon-yyyy
    then i have a cell next to it that calculates age
    i want the age cell to be highlighted if the birth day is after July 31
    year does not matter month and day do
    excel version 2010
    please help.

    Use a conditional formatting on the cell that basically tests the month:

    =MONTH(A1)>7

    That's True/False formula, so the CF would color the cell the color you choose if the formula resolves to True.
