    Possible IF function?

    Hello,

I'm attempting to reference a drop-down cell with specific text in it and have a value show up in a different column on the same row. I have 19 tasks that are rated by priority, and those tasks can be chosen from the drop down menu. Each task has a specific priority level. I tried to use a nested IF function, but I'm getting an error message. I understand that I'm limited to 7 nested arguments within an IF function. I'm wondering if I'm approaching this problem from the wrong direction.

    For example:

Task 1: BoM Calls-T.S. Call, Priority Level 1
    Task 2: BoM Calls - Reporting/New T.S., Priority Level 2

Any help here would be appreciated!

    Aaron

    Problem solved.

VLOOKUP worked, I hadn't alphabetized my list correctly.
