Have 2 columns, how do I delete the contents in one from the other?

Hi there, I have 2 columns of data containing numbers and words. How do I delete one column from the other? The data in not of fixed length or position in the cell and can be anything numerical value, word or value / combo.

For example:
Column A Column B

Delete:
Test from: 1987 Test orange 23.0
46 from: Blue game 46 one hundred
Sample from: Sample 33212 onboard
f27 from: already there f27 forever

Many thanks

Your description is not clear. Also, as you can see, you lost the column spacing in your sample. You should post a "befor" sample and an "after" sample, giving reasons why something was deleted, and from which column. If you do, please use [ode]tags:
testing testing
abc def
g hijk
then the columns will line up more clearly

So what I'm after is how do you delete the contents of one column from another containing the same contents and other values?

You can use a helper column with the formula:

Which looks in B to find the string held in A and substitutes NOTHING in its place
Attached Files Attached Files
