The Biggest Loser ranking and Excel

    Ok

so im hosting a weight loss challenge with 120 people participating

I have added everybody's name to an excel sheet followed by their Start weight
first week's weight, total weight loss and % of weight loss.

Now I need to know how to rank everybody base on their weight loss %

This is very similar to The Biggest Loser were contestant are ranked based on how many % of their weight they have lost

Also how do I lock the values (weight) to the names?

Because when I move one name, their weight doesnt move to the new cell

Hi and welcome to the forum,

You simply need to put everyone in a TABLE without having blank rows or columns in between.
    http://www.excel-2010.com/tables-in-excel-2010/ or watch
    http://www.contextures.com/Excel-Videos-AutoFilter.html

Then - without any blank rows click on the DATA tab on your Excel 2010 and then the Filter Icon. This will put little arrows on the top row. Click the dropdown in the column called %Loss and sort it Large to Small. Your winners will come to the top.

if that doesn't do it then you should upload a sample file so we can see your data and make suggestions on how to improve it.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.
