    Lightbulb Converting time.

I want to convert the time format. Don't know how to explain, will try to explain in the best possible manner.

    Actual
    1 hrs: 60 mins
If a programmer spend 1:45 min on work, his occupancy 1.75

    Required.
    1 hrs = 100 mins

    Re: Converting time.

    Try this

With Column A formatted "hh:mm" and Column B formatted "General" or "Number" Decimal places to suit (2)

    In B2

    =A2*24

    Drag/Fill Down

    Hope this helps

    @ Rahul Nagar

I think the phrasing of the OPs' question is a little confusing. He means

    1hr 45mins = 1.75hrs

Time and date values are based on units of one day therefore

    1hr 45mins = 0.0729166666666667 days so multiply by 24 to get hours
