Protect Visual Basic Editor with vba = No Go

I have a protected file that many users use. When I need to make changes, i make the changes on the un-protected master file on my pc, I then apply VB protection by checking the little box and typing in the password twice, then save my fle to the shared location. I would much rather do that than messing with a protected master file. (Its strange i know)

Is there a way to turn on protection and apply a password using vba or do i have to do it manually?

I don't believe that you can. If you could then it would be easy to reverse the code & open the VBA Project
    Hope that helps.
