Hi - newbie here. EXCEL 2007
I have a sheet with 4500 lines in it but is full of repetitive information. I would like to be able to search column A and look for a specific string and when I find it add the value in the column immediately beside that found string
e.g.
Column A Column B
Row 1 Hello 3
Row 2 Hi 2
Row 3 Hi 5
Row 4 All 3
Row 5 Hello 5
So if Search for "Hello" in Column A I should return an answer of 8.
How do I do this? Thanks for your help.
