    Find value associated with date

    I have an amortization table like below:

    Date Balance
    4/11 1,000
    5/11 990
    6/11 980
    7/11 970

    I would like, based on today's date, to see how much the balance on the loan is.

    How do I do this?

    Hi portlandskye and welcome to the forum.

    I believe a VLookup formula based on an approximate match will work for you.
