formula for $1125.34 x 40% then end in $.99
so the cell would read $1575.99
formula for $1125.34 x 40% then end in $.99
so the cell would read $1575.99
How about ...
=ceiling(a1 * 140%, 1) - 0.01
Entia non sunt multiplicanda sine necessitate
Do you mean?
=INT(1125.34*140%)+0.99
or
=INT(1125.34*(1+40%))+0.99 if you have 40% in a reference cell.
where you can replace the 1124.34 and 40% with cell references.

well im using a1*40%+a1 to get 1575.47 I dont know how to add to that formula so it will end in .99
If 1124.34 is in A1, then either formula provided by shg or myself give you that result.
If you want to use your formulation then either:
=INT(A1*40%+A1)+0.99
or
=CEILING(A1*40%+A1, 1) - 0.01
thx so much thats what i wanted, ur awesome

I would like to have excel add a1-d1 and give the total minus 5% and then end in $.99 cent in e1
Perhaps:
=CEILING(SUM(A1:D1)*0.95,1)-0.01
If this solves your issue, please remember to mark this thread as solved (per the instructions NBVC left last time..)
