Save daily workbook with day of today

    Hi,

I receive every day an excel file named orders.xls after I received it I need to do some adjustments in the workbook and after that I want to save the file everday in a specific folder (C:\Documents\orders). I want the file to be saved automatically like ex."orders 21-02-2011" by just pressing on a button. And tomorrow when I click the button ex."orders 22-02-2011". So basically at the end of every month I have a nice archive of all the daily files. I understand I can just "Save As" every day, But I would be nice to have it sort of automated. Please Is There Anyone who can help me....?
A friend told me to use macros.... though I have never used those before Either...

Use this file to save your daily file

Make sure order.xls file is open
Open this file also and click the button

I have used saved as method to save the file and then it will be closed

Date format will be according to setting in windows control panel

    Regards

You simply need to open up the VBA editor window (Alt+F11) and select Module1 in the Properties window, then select view code. Change the path to "Save As" to where ever you want the "Save As" copy to go....save the workbook and then when ever you run the macro(hit the Commant Button) it should save the file with the name you want, in the directory you want it.
