Help with using a series of values to fill a stocksheet

    Hi,

I have created a stocksheet that uses a stock movement sheet as an input method, I need the main data sheet to read the stock movement sheets data by period and create a running total of goods in and goods out as indicated by the period header.

please find attached a copy of the spreadsheet

    Hi John,

Find the attached where I did a Pivot Table with Running Totals on your data. I believe the data needs to have initial numbers in stock somewhere in the data list and then move the increase in stock numbers to the same column.

This is just another way that may work for you. Play with Pivot Tables a while as they have Running Totals and you can filter and group by date. See if this helps

    Hi John,
In 2007 Excel there is a SumIfs function that takes multiple criteria but in 2003 we need to go to a SumProduct Function.

In N3 put this formula and pull down.
