    Putting { } round a formula

    Hi,
Was recently given a formula to return the first date from a cashflow where there is expenditure. When you click on the cell, formula in taskbar is as follows: {=MIN(IF($C8:$J8>0,$C$7:$J$7))} but when i manually enter this formula in another workbook with the { } it only displays the formula and without the { } it's not correct.
Have attached a workbook with example. What are these { } for?

Tks in advance for your help.

The curly braces denote Array formula and are automatically added when you commit a formula use CSE (Control+Shift+Enter) rather than usual Enter.
