How to convert weekly data to monthly data

    Hi All,

I am looking for formula that would help me in converting weekly data to monthly data. The only solution I can think of is divide the week's data by 7 and then multiple it with days of month. But problem is whole month's data will be based on one week's data.

How can I convert weekly data to monthly that will also consider the weeks starting at the end of month.

Hope you understand what I am trying to ask here ...

    Cheers,

For anyone stumbling here trying to find a quick way to allocate weekly data proportionally to monthly totals, I wrote a how-to tutorial that uses a helper column and SUMPRODUCT() to get you there quickly... Take a look and let me know if you have suggestions or feedback!

@ExcelTactics - please note forum rule #13b, which states:

Posting links to your free tools and tips directly in the threads of our questioners is acceptable if it represents less than 10% of your contributions. Thus, we only expect to see you pointing people to your own free links 1 in 10 posts, if that. Earn your stripes helping directly the way we all do, then the linking for common tasks is natural and acceptable.
At least 20% of your posts currently contain such links, so you are clearly in breach of the forum's rules. If you continue to post links without contributuing anything else, as helpful as they may be, you may find yourself banned as a spammer.

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.
