Use of menu forms in Excel 2007

    Hi Guys

I am in the process of creating a simple spreadsheet which monitors some basic restaurant related information. I currently created a basic form (using the form function) which users will use to add the relevant data. Users will be entering in/out of this s/sheet quite often and from what i can see, to use the form they need to click on the form button to enter the data.

Is there a function/setting/macro (via a button) which i can use that:
    - brings the form up to enter the data
    - starts at the next blank field

or am i asking to much?
    Your help is greatly appreciated!!

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

If needed supply a before and after sheet in the workbook so the person helping you can see what you are trying to achieve.

Doing this will ensure you get the result you need!
    Hope that helps.

    Hi

Thanks for the tip! I have attached a draft copy of the s/sheet in use. When i click the form button i can enter the data in, however i dont want users of this s/sheet to have to do this all the time. As mentioned above, is there a macro i can use (via a button) that opens the forms and enters into the next blank section?

    Cheers

    Do you mean this?

in Excel 2003 select a cell within the data. From the Data menu select Form

I've added code to display the form automatically, not sure why you have added a 2003 version

    Hi

Yes, something similar - sorry, my bad - its a 2003 version of excel being used. I was thinking more of a Macro sitting behind a button which opens the form and then brings the form up to the relevant 'blank' screen ready for input.

    Cheers
