    Totalling a filtered column

    Hello All,

I'm sure it's something simple but I couldn't get it to work. I am trying to total hours and dollars when I have a filter on. I tried =SUBTOTAL but couldn't get it to work. I attached the file. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

This works perfectly for me but I'm confused as to why you used the "9" in the formula.

Look at help for this function.

Select the cell with the function then press fx in the formula bar.
See the hyperlink Bottom Left of the pop-up interface.

This lists all the arguements for SUBTOTAL
