Ok what I have is a sheet with several columns on it A-L, column B uses Vlookup to find its data, however when I try to make a pivot table out of this data, column B does not show up in my table or as a choice.

The fact that Column B holds a formula should not be of any consequence regards visibility of the Column within the Pivot assuming it is included in the Source Range - on which basis - presumably Col A is visible in the Field List ?
Are you able to post a sample ?
