How to calculate a 'per diem' between dates

Hi everyone, please find attached my basic Excel sheet to understand my query.

The sheet spans 3 months, has one row for income, one row for expenses, one cell for total money and one for 'per diem' (i.e. the amount which can be evenly spent every day for 3 months within the total budget).

Can anyone explain to me what the function expression for the per diem cell would be?

I presume it would be total money divided by the cell of the end date minus today's date, but I'm not sure exactly how that should look.

Many thanks for your time and help,

    Lyle

Not sure what you mean. Do you want to divide by the total number of days or to date?
    Hope that helps.

Re: How to calculate a 'per diem' between dates

    Sorry about cross-posting, I didn't realise I had.

What I'd like to do is divide the sum total income by the number of days that remain until the end of the 3 months.

    Example:

Let's say today's date is the 10th of April. My Excel sheet runs until the 7th of July.

The sum total money available is £1400.

The per diem calculation is £1400 divided by however many days there are between 10th April and 7th July.

So a crude function would be cellTOTAL / cell(10th April) - cell(7th July).

I hope that makes a bit more sense.

    Many thanks
