    Question conditional format percentage

    I'm looking for a conditional format formula that would highlight one cell if another cell is 1% higher or lower. In this case the two cells are BC14 and AJ14. Thanks for your consideration. Regards, Gary

    Re: conditional format percentage

    Maybe this: =ABS(BC141-AJ14)>=0,01

    (for exactly 1% use just = )

    Assuming you mean exactly 1%, and not up to 1% or beyond 1%, then try:

    Note - Because of zbor's location, he uses a comma as decimal notation. If you prefer his formula, you may wish to modify it to read:

    Re: conditional format percentage

    Guys, I'm not quite getting this one. It might be my explanation. I've attempted to adapt both formulas into a conditional format without success. Not sure what I'm doing incorrect. In practice I should be able to put the format in one cell "AJ14" and say, if "BJ14" varies anymore than 1% in either direction I want "AJ14" to highlight in red. So far, no matter the formula, I either get a highlighted red permanently or never. Any hints where I might be off? PS, I did catch that in the previous recommendation the cell reference was BJ141 versus BJ14, but even that adjustment did not deliver a proper conditional highlight. Again, thanks for any and all efforts. Regards, Gary

    Re: conditional format percentage

    Forgetting that you said BC14 earlier, how about this?

    Re: conditional format percentage

    This gets it. In fact, with this I can add a conditional format, reverse which cell is subtracted and end up with 1% high or low difference highlight. Thanks much for helping me out on this. Regards, Gary
