    Adding multiple cells at once.

    Hello,

Do you know how to add multiple cells at one time? Example: I have 10 consecutive rows of numbers. How do I get a sum total of all of those cells by selecting them all instead of adding each one individually?

    Awaiting your reply...

Hi bluewaves and welcome to the forum,

If you look at the icons on the excel toolbar you will find a Sigma character. That looks like a capital letter E with a greek slant. If you put your cursor at the bottom of the 10 numbers and then click on that Sigma icon it will ask if you want the Sum, Count or a few other kinds of totals.

Is that what you wanted to know?

If you mean "add" as an arithmetic operation, then you can refer to a range when using the SUM function like this:

    Do you mean this?

    example: =SUM(A1:C10)

Type; =SUM( then select all cells, and then ) and press Enter.
    Kind regards, Harry.
