    Finding 2nd or 3rd highest value in range

    I wish to find the second and third highest values in each of the rows on the attached spreadsheet. Finding the highest is no problem using MAX. Also, if 2 values are the highest, I want one to count as the second highest value.

    My ultimate goal is to calculate the average of the three highest values in each row. I wish to use formulas, as VB is beyond me.

    Please look at Excel Help for the LARGE function.

    hi 6StringJazzer,

    how can i get the row and column number of the retuned result.

    Actually I have some data associated and kept in same row as the values. Now how can I apply the Large function??
