    Highlight a cell

    Good morning to all.

    Is there a macro I can use to highlight A1 when I click on R1? This must only apply when I click somewhere in the R column, not the other columns. Example: R1-A1, R2-A2 and so on. It can either highlight the cell or change the font colour or even put a border around A1. The reason is that I want to make sure the data I enter in column R is going to be entered to the correct item which is listed in column A, and at he moment I must trace back to column A with the cursor to make sure I have select the right item. Very easy to make a mistake.

    Thank you very much.

    select A1 to down and give the conditional format
    =AND(CELL("row")=ROW(),CELL("col")=18)

    Man, I am learning fast. It works like a charm. One sentence I will never use again is: "I don't know if this is possible....", because everything looks like it is possible. Specially here!

    Thank you very much. It is highly appreciated.

    Greets.

    Lukas.
