Count Conditional Formatted Cells -2

I have a similar problem - to a thread with the same title

I'm attempting to count cells that have been conditionally format based on the criteria that it matched the value in another cell. i.e. drawn lotto numbers that match my numbers played for particular draw.

I'm looking to count the number of cells that are formatted.
Conditional format applied to my number that match drawn number which have been input on sheet.

=COUNTIF($B3:$AX3,BB3)>0 :: cells are coloured blue applies to :: =$BB$3:$EK$2918

Could you post a workbook showing the Drawn Numbers, and the range of your Selected Numbers?

Why are the column ranges in your posted sample different sizes?

Marcol thanks for the question, I might not have caught it otherwise.
I've had to reduce the file size, hence the reason it hasn't appeared.


Once again - I would like to be able to add up the number of cells that are highlighted (from a conditional formatting rule) in blue.

Pg 2 of work hold the formatting. The reason the columns with data are so far to the right, the sample data in the workbook is old. The more current dates has more data (columns) filled, therefore I would have to update any formula to include the cell references. (I hope this makes some kind of sense)

Is this what you are after?

Use the grouping button +/- below the formula bar to toggle the helper columns that do the work and keep the formulae simple.
