Unhappy Colour Cells Based Upon Value of Another Using Formula

    Hello

I wanted to colour specific cells based upon the value of other cells.
The attached spreadsheet is a gantt chart.

    I would like to achieve:

Shade cells in row 7 on wards, based upon the corresponding selection of F7, G7, H7, I7
As you will see I have labelled rows 3 & 5 with the same values as appear in the drop down lists of columns F-I.
I have shaded what I want to happen in the relevant cells in pink.

I want this to happen automatically using a formula if possible?

    Any help much appreciated
    Thanks Debbie :O)

The best way is to use the Object properties of the worksheet. Here is the code I posted on another similar query. I hope it steers you in the right direction.

I will see if I can help and get something ready for you.

Can you let me know how you want the cells colored based on what value and column? I can see the drop downs but do you want different colors?

Re: Colour Cells Based Upon Value of Another Using Formula

    Hello

It doesn't matter what colour really. I would like the cells coloured based on the values in columns F to I.

As you will see columns L onwards mirrow these values. I gave a start time in columns F & G and then an end time in columns H & I. I don't know if these are necessary though.

The reason these values have been used is because we work on 4 week period. So in a year we have 13 periods, each with 4 weeks, rather than using calendar dates. This spreadsheet is a gantt chart for planning.

    Thanks for your help.
Any ideas are very much welcome.
