Re: A long list in rows to seprate columns

    Hi r786g

    Welcome to the forum

You would do best to post a sample workbook showing your Sheet Layout and perhaps Before and After examples.

It should clearly illustrate your problem and not contain any sensitive data.

    Cheers

How do I attach a file to a post?

To attach a file to your post, you need to be using the main 'New Post' or 'New Thread' page and not 'Quick Reply'. To use the main 'New Post' page, click the 'Post Reply' button in the relevant thread.

On this page, below the message box, you will find a button labelled 'Manage Attachments'. Clicking this button will open a new window for uploading attachments. You can upload an attachment either from your computer or from another URL by using the appropriate box on this page. Alternatively you can click the Attachment Icon to open this page.

To upload a file from your computer, click the 'Browse' button and locate the file. To upload a file from another URL, enter the full URL for the file in the second box on this page. Once you have completed one of the boxes, click 'Upload'.

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window. You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.

Re: A long list in rows to seprate columns

A file is attached containing the data i want macro'd,
    1. Firstly each occurance of "StartTime" has to be deleted and replaced by the value next to it (2011-03 ????etc).

    2. For each of the Rows starting from "2011 ?? ????" to [END] to be split into thier own columns.

Hope this helps to explain the first post.

Re: A long list in rows to seprate columns

The macro above has a slight issue, i noticed this late last evening and have been battling all morning to rectify. (apologies i should have noticed first)

Before the Macro is run you can see all the data in one column, you'll also notice that the DateTime cell (always adjacent to StartTime) are showing different times.

After the macro is run i noticed that the header (1st cell for each column) is always the same instead of showing the different times.

All the original files are attached (see above), ive also attached the file after the macro is run.
i would be grateful if anyone can help.
