Pivot table missing rows using PowerPivot

    Hello everyone,

I'm working with a very large data set (300,000+ rows and 75 columns) using PowerPivot in Office 2010
Basically we have products which can be part of any 18 Models and Various sizes but are grouped as either domestic or international.

I have to display this data in way so that each configuration is show, so every model and every size must be displayed even if there are no sales for certain sizes or models.

So my report needs to show:

    Domestic
    Model A
    Size 1
    Size 2
    Size 3

    International
    Model A
    Size 1
    Size 2
    Size 3

Unfortunately since we don't always sell every configuration I don't have data for some configurations and need to figure out a way for the powerpivot to display those blank rows

So my data currently looks like

    Domestic
    Model A
    Size 1
    Size 3

    International
    Size 1
    Size 2

If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it!

Hi djgfx and welcome to the forum,

The way to take care of this problem is to add in records as fillers. If possible put in Domistic Model A Size 2 with a value of zero and International Model a Size 3 with a value of zero. If zero isn't appropriate put in a blank.

I believe with Power Pivots you can create a whole sheet or set with all possible listings and simply add it to your group of data.

    hope this helps.
