A countif formula to pull actual value

    Hi Guys

I need some help with a countif formula. Im not sure if it is a countif formula that's needed.

In column D5 i need the following: a formula that counts the top ten departments from column A and in column E5 a formula that pulls through the actual complaint (i don't want the number of complaints, i need the actual type of complaint, e.g. Account closed, Attitude etc) that is associated with that specific department... i hope i making sense here.

    I have attached a workbook.

Have you looked at using a pivot table?
