    Paste Chart to Spreadsheets

I'm trying to copy/paste the same chart to 6 different spreadsheets in the same workbook. I have different data on each sheet that is in the same format.

How can I can I get my charts to automaticaly use the new data on each sheet? The copied charts still use the selected data from my first and original spreadsheet.

    Re: Paste Chart to Spreadsheets

Now if I try and paste the first graph to the 2nd sheet, it keeps the same data from the previous sheet.

Did you manually change the selected data on the 2nd sheet? I'm trying to avoid this.

My problem is that I have multiple spreadsheets. I know I can copy and paste the chart. It just won't automatically update to the new data when you paste to a new spreadsheet.

    Re: Paste Chart to Spreadsheets

I've never been able to find a good way to do this. Maybe Andy Pope has a macro that does it. But here's what I do.

The Problem: You have identically set up data on 6 sheets and you've created the graph on the first sheet. To recreate all these series on each sheet is a pain.

The solution: It's often easier to recreate the data (copy/paste). I right click on the first tab (with the graph) and Move/Copy the sheet, making sure to check "Copy". I do this 5 times to the same workbook. Then I go to the other original five worksheets and copy and paste that data over the newly created spreadsheets. This is easier when you have graphs with a lot of series than recreating the graphs.

Here is something quick and dirty that should do the trick.

add some data to Sheet3 in your example and then try this code.
