    Referencing cell value as formula.

I'm trying to reference an excel sheet that is in a different workbook. The problem is that i dont always know where the workbook is. What i'd like to do is have a cell saying somthing like:

    Path to item list: C:\user\SeymoreButts\documents\
    Name of item list: MasterItemList.xls

    Then have cell formulas read:

    =Vlookup(1,C:\user\SeymoreButts\documents\MasterItemList.xls'[Sheet1]'A1:C3000,1)
(Dont quote me on the syntax, i'm doing it from memory)

I know how to program in VBA, I'd just perfer not to for simplicity reasons.

    Thanks in advance.

So as soon as i posted this i read the next thread... figures. I swear i searched for this...
Either way, i got it working, but only if that other workbook is open... Is there a way to do this without the other one open?

You'll need to download a free add-in "morefunc" and use its Indirect.ext function.
