    Football tables

    Hi,

Does anyone use excel for creating football tables yourself from every week results?
If so, could you give me so clues how to automate them in excel?

    eg.

    Team A v Team B 1:0
    Team C v Team D 2:2
    Team E v Team F 1:2
    ...
    and so on

And I want overall, home and away tables from the scores.

I need to create tables from past results for each week.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Re: Football tables in excel (automated)

    Hi jakg88,

Is that American Football or Non-American Football?

My best guess is to search the net using the words "Excel Fantacy Football" and see what examples you can find.
    I found
    http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2367671,00.asp and
    http://www.scribd.com/doc/36312816/2...layer-Rankings

but have no idea what you are looking for.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.

    Hi MarvinP,

Thank you for your reply. I meant soccer matches and I could not find a lot of info on it.

    I attached sample spreadsheet.

    Cheers

    Re: Football tables

I need to know what you are given from the net or what you type in. I'm thinking you area given the first few columns of information. You then want to do stats.

What are the FTR, FTHG, FTAG?

After I know what amount you want to type or have then we can work on what results you are looking for.

In other similar sheets it makes it easier for all teams to be in the same column. So:
Date, Team Name, Opponent, Goals, Win/Loss - This seems like double work but makes pivots easier.

Also what statistics are you hoping to arrive at? GF? GA? HW? WD? HL.....
