    Combining IF Statements

    im having some issues trying to get the 2 different IF statements to combine and i think my brain is shot.... its probably really easy but im just not seeing it...

    IF Statement #1
    =IF((AX31+AX33+AX32)>=1),((AX31+AX32+AX33)*17.5),((AX36)*.05)

    IF Statement #2
    IF(AX34>=1),(AX34*7.5),(AX36*.05)

    so pretty much if both statements are False they need to do the same thing (AX36*.05) but if both are True i need them to need them to work together, like this...

    (A1*17.5)=x (A2*.75)=X2 (X+X2)= Y

    Any Help is much appreciated!

    Re: Combining IF Statements

    This combines the formulae for the first part (both false) but I'm unclear as to what you want if they're both true. Also, what do you want if one is false and the other is true?

    =IF(AND(AX31+AX32+AX33<1, AX34<1),AX36*0.05,(AX31+AX32+AX33)*17.5)

    Re: Combining IF Statements

    I must apologize for having you try to figure this one out with out all of the information. i have now kicked 3 of my co-workers for not telling me that there were 2 variables they "forgot" to tell me. i knew it was simple but those 2 variables is were i was hanging up. this is what i got

    =SUM(((AX13+AX14+AX15+AX16+AX17)*100)+((AX18+AX19)*10)+(AX21+AX22+AX23+AX24+AX25+AX26+AX27+AX28)+((AX29)*0.5))+((AX31+AX32+AX33)*350)+((AX34)*150)

    i know its long and bulky but it works and gets the job done... if there is a way to shorten it that would be awesome! i guess i should change the name of the title...

    Re: Combining IF Statements

    Here is the quick reduction

    =(SUM(AX13:AX17)*100)+((AX18+AX19)*10)+SUM(AX21:AX28)+((AX29)*0.5)+(SUM(AX31:AX33)*350)+((AX34)*150)

    Cheers
