    Referencing a secondary file

    Hi all
    Something to chew over....

I have a spreadsheet, which contains projects and their start and end dates.
However these dates change on a monthly basis.
I therefore need my spreadsheet to track these changes.
The main software package I use is able to download the project plan into an excel file monthly.

I basically need 2 dates from this new excel file.

I have attached a picture of what I am after.

if we say A is the primary spreadsheet which stores all data. (SSA)

Spreadsheet B is the new spreadsheet from the software package and has the data in it I need. (SSB)

In SSA, in a worksheet, In cell A i need to show Actual start date, in cell B, actual finish date
The above is for a specific project, lets say project A

in SSB, the name of which we can call Project A, within this are the reference cells for the above cells.

I need to somehow create a system that automatically (at the touch of a button) downloads the data from SSB to SSA.

the ongoing issue that we have however is that the SSB will be refreshed every month.
So in SSA, the solution will always need to point to the latest version. I was thinking of having the SSB called "Project A_Month_Year".
    Any thoughts

    thanks in advance..

PS: I love this site, learning far too much!
