    Calculated field in Pivot Table

    Hello,

I have been looking at calculated fields in Pivot tables and when references seem to be one field to another. My problem is to reference one subset of a field to the total.

In the attached file you will see that I have done a simple calculation to calculate what percentage of the total sales is birds, what I want to know is can this be done within the pivot table itself as a calculated field?

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Simon

    Hi
if you right click in the data section of the PT, you can select Field settings - Options - %of rows

All will be then in % of row total

I can see what you are getting at here, but it doesn't quite do what I want. I need to still be able to see the actual numbers, but I want to see the percentages as well.

    Any ideas?

    Yep

add the Sales data a second time You will get two identical fields. Then change field settings as advised, and you will have the % next to the numbers

    EDIT example attached
