Little Green Triangle on top left corner of cell

    Hello,

I wonder if someone can tell me what the little green triangle on the top left corner of a cell means? I am aware it means that there is an error in the cell, but I dont know which one and how to find it...

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you click on that cell, you should get a little "caution" icon (yellow diamond with exclamation mark within it). Click that and a drop down should appear giving you the reason for the triangle appearing and the options you have.

You mean on the drop down menu?

    It says "inconsistent formula".

This is my formula. Its quite long. Is there anything you can see that is wrong with it?

    =IF(ISERROR(IF(SUM(D45,SUMIF(DepotSalesProducts,CONCATENATE(D$44,$A45),CasesPrevious))=0," ",SUM((D45-SUMIF(DepotSalesProducts,CONCATENATE(D$44,$A45),CasesPrevious))/D45))),"",IF(SUM(D45,SUMIF(DepotSalesProducts,CONCATENATE(D$44,$A45),CasesPrevious))=0," ",SUM((D45-SUMIF(DepotSalesProducts,CONCATENATE(D$44,$A45),CasesPrevious))/D45)))

Re: Little Green Triangle on top left corner of cell

the triangle is just a warning to tell you that the formula is not consistent with adjacent cells. It doesn't mean you have an error in the formula. It may just be different in some way other than just a different cell reference...

Background checking can be switched on / off by Tools|Options - error checking tab / untick in the top settings options, background checking
