    lookup from different workbooks

I am trying to find a way of creating a spreadsheet that will help to report the time worked of employees.

At the moment we have to complete a weekly time sheet which is upload to a system. Hoever, it is very difficult to retrieve data from this system once it is on there. We have to complete excel sheets that can be uploaded to this system.

I label my spreadheet thus: yearmonthday eg. if the week starts on monday 25th April 2011 it would be 20110425.

Theformat of the sheets i attached for reference.

Bascially i was wondering if it would be possible to create a spreadsheet that runs along side this to bring together everything from the weekly sheets to create one place for everything. this way i can report based on the time codes and give a detailed break down of how i spead my time fr when it comes to annual review.

I tried making a vlookup but it didn't seem to work...

It appears that the weekly files are saved as csv files. I have attached a xls file for reference
