Smile Annotating in Chart1 Gray Areas

When a chart is created and placed in a separate tab on the worksheet (Chart1) there are gray areas to either side of the chart. Is there a way to paste other helpful information in these areas to further explain the chart? ... otherwise this is just wasted space

Or, is there a way to widen the existing chart to take up the entire width of the screen?

Re: Annotating in Chart1 Gray Areas

    Hello,

if you place a chart on its own chart sheet, the chart will be displayed with a 3:4 (height:width) ratio. This ratio will be maintained, whatever you do to resize the chart sheet. You can place text boxes or other objects onto the chart area, but you cannot place any content outside the 3:4 chart area. So, no, you cannot use the gray areas to the left and right of the chart do display information.

    cheers,
