    #REF issue

    Hi everyone,
I am having something very odd going on with my Excel 2010 document. I am using one document to summarize the hours worked by three different projects. It is basically one sheet that shows what people are working on and how many hours they are spending on it total. My issue is when I open the resource planning document which contains the links with any of the individual project excel documents at the same time it causes the number value to change to ####. This happens when I hit the enable content button on excel which is odd too. Here are my two equations. The first is how it is normally when it is working correctly and the second is what happens when I have both projects open and hit the enable content button.

    ='J:\bd\BD-P Team Info\OP-PT2\Resource Planning\2011\Wk 19\[Wk 19_CA5257_Cost Planning.xlsx]CostPlanning!L$698

    ='J:\bd\BD-P Team Info\OP-PT2\Resource Planning\2011\Wk 19\[Wk 19_CA5257_Cost Planning.xlsx]#REF'!L$698

    Re: #REF issue

it appears that you are linked to a cell that has been deleted. Go into the data tab and edit links - you find the spreadsheet it is linked to and hit updated values. This should solve the issue.

    Re: #REF issue

No that is not the issue. It is like I have some settings wrong or something. The links are legit and information is all correct. It needs a specific condition to happen for it to mess up. A guy at my work his works with the work sheet and he is not required to enable editing for the protected view like I am. Could this be an issue?

That first formula is missing an apostrophe before the exclamation mark.
