Maybe
=IF(A1="","","Complete")
=IF(A1<>"","Complete"," ")
Thanks but i already have a formula in that cell can it be done with conditional formatting?
You want the cell to say "Complete" and still have a formula?
What is the formula doing? Do you want the cell to say "Complete" when A1 contains something but something else when the formula triggers?
as you have excel 2007
you can use conditional formatting
use the use a formula option
put =a1<>""
choose format pick the number tab
choose custom
set custom as "complete" including quotes
