Search table values

Good day!

I have attached a file for this question. sheet1 contains the grade,step and the corresponding salary while sheet2 has the given values of grade and step.. My question is how do I display the salary that corresponds to the given grade and step in sheet2 without doing it manually by going back and forth between sheets?

badly needed this one..

BTW, I am using excel 2010

Welcome to the forum.

If the Grades and Steps are as you show them to be:

In C8 and dragged down: =INDEX(Sheet1!$B$2:$I$34,A8,B8)

Otherwise you'll have to use a pair of MATCH() functions within the INDEX().
