I've been reading through and downloading some cool things, Excel is awesome I'm glad to be back on the forums.
I make my weekly schedule from a template that cannot be changed. In one cell, I input times in format "9 AM - 11:30 AM", or "9:30 AM - 12 PM" multiple times for one day in a single column. Would it be possible to derive a formula which counts # of hours, without doing a VLOOKUP and entering every combination for a day (eeshk)?
I've read: http://www.excelforum.com/excel-gene...unt-hours.html which was very helpful, but for some reason I couldn't get the formula to add values in a range, only in a given cell. Here is the code that worked awesome for the example, but not for my case (needing to calculate and count hours in a range of cells).
