Formatting: Vertically Align 2nd word in cell

I have a large list of data that I need formatting to be more "visually appealing"

I need the one and two to be aligned vertically. Is there an easier way to do this other than spacing through every row? There are hundreds of rows and over 80 worksheets I would have to space through.

    Currently it looks like this:

    1. UTS-COVPG Cover Page
    2. UTS-SP-2 Forms & Endorsement Schedule
    3. UTS-SP-3 Locations Schedule
    4. NOTS0065TX TX- Important Notice
    5. UTS-230G-TX Prompt Payment Of Claims
    6. NOTX0178CW Claim Reporting Information
    7. OPS-D-1 Common Policy Dec.

I need it to look like this:

    1. UTS-COVPG......Cover Page
    2. UTS-SP-2...........Forms & Endorsement Schedule
    3. UTS-SP-3...........Locations Schedule
    4. NOTS0065TX....TX- Important Notice
    5. UTS-230G-TX.....Prompt Payment Of Claims
    6. NOTX0178CW....Claim Reporting Information
    7. OPS-D-1..............Common Policy Dec.

    (with no ....... between)

Each # represents a row. This is in one column. Any help would be great. Please Help!!

    Thanks!

Re: Formatting: Vertically Align 2nd word in cell

I wish I could. The program I am copying the data into requires it to be in one cell. If it is in two cells, a blank box appears between the cells after copying into the program.

    Any ideas?

Re: Formatting: Vertically Align 2nd word in cell

you need to use a font like courier where all the uppercase/-/space characters are the same width
then with your text in a1 and b1 as font courier
    put
    =LEFT(A1,FIND(" ",A1)-1)&REPT(" ",20-LEN(LEFT(A1,FIND(" ",A1)-1)))&SUBSTITUTE(A1,LEFT(A1,FIND(" ",A1)-1)&" ","")
now youd still need font as courier in your other application otherwise it will revert to whatever its default is
