Using concatenate and deleting source cells

How would I concatenate two cells into one, and then delete the two source cells without the concatenated cell disappearing? Once cell has a first name and the other cell the last name. I want first and last in once cell.

    Many thanks,
    Houston

    htown,

You could hide the column containing the first and last names instead of deleting the cell contents.
Alternatively, after you've put in the concatenate and copied down, you could select the cells containing the formula -> Copy -> Paste Special -> Values. That would make it so only the values (the first and last name) are in the cell and not the formula. You could then delete the source first/last name cell contents.

    Hope this helps,

Thank you tigeravatar, I used your second suggestion. Worked great.
