    Unhappy Pivot Table issue...

I've read a lot from this forum but this is my first post. Thanks for everything and thanks in advance!

I've attached the file I'm dealing with and I'll explain what I'm trying to do. I think the Pivot table is what I need to use, but if I'm going the completely wrong direction with this please let me know.

Goal: I'm trying to extract meaningful and useful data from the data I'm collecting. I've got a department that I need to monitor thier level of production and I need to be able to compare a current days production with the data table to hold them accountable and to establish reasonable expections with that department.

In any given day they could produce up to 12 different widgets but they ussually only do (base on orders) certin widgets on a given date. They then turn in thier report to me and it goes into the data table on the first tab. The pivot table so far is headed the right direction I believe but the problem is this: how do I isolate information to be able to compare it? For example... Look at may 20th 2011... they made 8 widget #05's in the whole day... but look at 6/1/2011 they made 20 #5's and 13 #9's. Comparing the data like that is fine but I'm going to be tracking over a long period of time and I want to be able to create averages. So if they do #5's and #9's on a given day, I want to be able to go to this table and compare it to simular days orders.... For example I couldn't compare production of 5/25 and 5/26 because they did completely different widgets...

What would work would be some kind of command or function that would only show results based on what I tell it i'm looking for. For example: My guy turns in his production sheet and he made Widgets 05, 09, 10. I want to be able to filter data to find another date that only has positive values (not 0) for thos widgets. In this case 6/7/11 would be a comparable date and the rest wouldn't be.

I hope that all makes sense. Again, if there is a completely different direction I should be going with this please let me know. Thanks!
