Need help with a specific formula

I have an excel file with a couple thousand products in them.

In the far left column i have the product codes. I want to know what the formula for this would be to put in order, the whole left column by the 2nd and 3rd numbers

for instance:


product codes:

98326061
45328675
45458989
34459766
23320989
76459875

As u can tell, id like to be able to put the 2nd and 3rd number in order. the 32's with the 32's and the 45's with the 45's!

Hi irishluck and welcome to the forum,

You can pull out your two digits into a new column using

Please Login or Register  to view this content.

Pull this formula down the new column using all rows.
Then sort by this new column and that should do it.

BTW - can you edit your original post and change the thread to the PROBLEM. Something like "Extract 2nd and 3rd digits". This will then be a more specific problem and help us find it later.
