My brain hurts. need help figuring this out.

If you look at my work area you will notice this is a fairly complex paycheck calculator. it calcualtes different pay and overtime for different shift differentials and weekend differentials ect. while taking into account tax net and growth.

So far... it works. HOWEVER.. i ran into an issue

you can see the issue from sections H38 and H37. Technically H38 is correct.

H37 reflects the amount of money earned for hours worked on that specific day and that specific shift accounting for overtime hours

i ran into this problem when i worked a Double at work so 8 hours on the 3-11 shift and 8 hours on 11-7. the problem is that that calculations work when you input 8 hours into the 3-11 shift square, but when you add the 8 hours for the11-7 shift it retro calculates the total 16 hours from that day as overtime because the second 8 hour shift puts me over the 40 hour mark.


How can i fix this. the paycheck calcualtor works fine other then this rare scenerio but i still want to fix it. but all and all i have about 12 hours worth of work in this sheet and i simply cant think of a way to orchestrate this right now without reworking the entire thing.

any help would be awesome.
