Question X-Y Scatter Chart with min, med and max x-values

I have reached the capacity of my capabilities and need the assistance with creating an Excel Chart.

I have a table of test data with the following five columns of data: HEADING (Value 1, ....)

    "Data point labels" (A, B, C, D, E)
    "Minimum x-value" (30, 20, 29, 32, 28)
    "Maximum x-value" (75, 80, 90, 71, 68)
    "Median x-value" (52, 48, 45, 55, 59)
    "y-value" (1,4,9,16,25)

    Data rules

"y-values" will always be between 1 and 25.
"x-values" will always be between 1000 and 4000000 (4 Million)
    "Minimum x-value" < "Median x-value" < "Maximum x-value"
"Median x-value" is NOT calculated from the other two x-values"
With real data there will be between 50 and 100 data points.

    Need from chart

    1. An x-y scatter graph plotting all the data points.
    2. x-values are plotted with the median data point marker sitting on a horizontal bar representing Minimum to Maximum.
    3. Data points are labelled (using XY labeller)
    4. Y-axis labelled as "Risk"
    5. X-axis labelled as "Value"
    6. X-axis to be logarithmic.

Re: Excel Chart Help (Prize Offered)

Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution. Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.
To change a Title on your post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

PLEASE PM WHEN YOU HAVE DONE THIS AND I WILL DELETE THIS POST

Your post does not comply with Rule 8 of our Forum RULES. Cross-posting is when you post the same question in other forums on the web. You'll find people are disinclined to respond to cross-posts because they may be wasting their time solving a problem that has been solved elsewhere. We prefer that you not cross-post at all, but if you do (and it's unlikely to go unnoticed), you MUST provide a link (copy the url from the address bar in your browser)to the cross-post. Expect cross-posts without a link to be closed a message will be posted by the moderator explaining why. We are here to help so help us help you!

Read this to understand why we ask you to do this

Rather than offering prizes you would be better reading the forum rules.

And if you had resisted the urge to snipe, "He is rude and belittling", you would have got some help

Re: X-Y Scatter Chart with min, med and max x-values

    Andy,

This is the first time that I used this forum in 5 years. I needed help and I was even prepared to thank the person who is able to help me.

Simply your message was rude and belittling. You made me feel crap and I felt that you should get the feedback to give you the opportunity to raise your own self awareness. I do not need to snipe however I felt the feedback was best provided in a private manner.

It is disappointing that a Forum Guru behaves in such an elitist manner. I will be more aware next time.

And, with regards to the solution even if you know the answer I would prefer that you ceased to comment on my thread.

    Thank you

    Andy

Agilder, after this performance I doubt that anyone on this forum will be willing to help you.

    Good luck.

    Teylyn,

Please feel free to remove this thread from your forum. As new member I found this a very unpleasant experience and quite contrary to the response on Mr. Excel.

    No worries.

    AG.

Agreed to reading the rules when you signed up today and then ignored them.
For this a posted a moderation warning, note I did not give you any infractions or ban you.

You revised your post as requested, which is great.

Then for the rep comments I posted that I would not be helping just so you and others knew you still required help.
